Membership

Application for membership is currently open to anyone, with a limit on members to 250 seniors. For all new membership enquiries, please contact the club’s membership secretary, Ian Colborne, at daa.membershipsec@googlemail.com

The cost for membership is currently £60 for seniors and £21 for juniors. All prospective members should get in touch with Ian Colborne.

COLLECTION AND PAYMENT FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE SEASON.

Due to the closure of Hamsterly Colliery Post Office the Association have had to come up with an alternative way for members to collect and pay for their 2026 licenses.

You may purchase your license at the Annual General Meeting on the 28th February at the Crown and Crossed Swords Hotel, Shotley Bridge DH8 0HU from 18.30 onwards 

in the upstairs function room.

After that licenses will be available for Collection from the Crown Crossed Swords Hotel, Shotley Bridge every Tuesday in March and April between the hours of 18.30 and 19.30 in the restaurant area.

We accept card payments, bank transfer or preferably cash on collection of membership cards.

Day tickets cost £8 and are available from Hamsterley Post Office, Allensford Caravan Park Shop, Rod & Tackle Ltd, Cramlington, Ebchester Village Store and Derwent Valley Sales.

 

The season runs from 22nd March to 30th September for brown trout. The Grayling season runs from 16th June to 31st January.

Don’t forget: you must have an Environment Agency rod licence before you fish. You can buy your rod licence online directly from the EA, or from any Post Office.
